High Power Busbar Trunking
Impact 630A - 10,000A
Impact busbar trunking is used for transporting and distributing power, it is especially suitable both in the electrical room as a transformer to switchboard or switchboard to switchboard connection (Feeder) and in the main Installation (Distribution) for industrial, commercial and service industry.
The Impact busbar trunkings system is offered in current ratings from 630A to 4000A with aluminium conductors while in current ratings from 1000A to 10,000A with copper conductors.
Impact is suitable for installation in extreme atmospheric conditions, in shipping, wind energy faq, rising mains or where the induced magnetic field values are required to be very low as in the high value added service industries (Data Centres etc) buildings.
The electrical connection is achieved by a monobloc system with one or more bolts (depending of the busbar trunkings rated current) guarantying the electrical continuity between the units of the run. The self-breakable bolt is double headed; the first one is used for the installation (breaking at 85 Nm torque moment) carried out without any special tool, while the second one will be available for future maintenances and inspections. A sight signal (Tag) confirms the correct tightening of the monobloc.
The mechanical connection is achieved when the joint cover is fully installed guaranteeing the IP 55 protection degree (on request IP56 or IP66). A mechanical device (interlock) will prevent the mechanical connection being made before the electrical connect is complete.
Impact Busbar Trunking is made with sandwich technology (compact); the conductors are compacted together without any free space inside the casing and are fully insulated using a halogen free polyester sheath (thermic class 150°C). This technology guarantees the products high performances concerning the voltage drop values even in high current, long run and extreme conditions. The standard protection degree is IP55 (on request IP56 or IP66). For outdoor installations an extra protection (canopy) is available.
